Walt Smith
Mr. Smith graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in 1969. He then went on to earn his B.S. with and emphasis in Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. He worked as Program Director of the Boys and Girls Club from 77-80. In 1982 he became the Executive Director, and is still serving in that position today. He has served on numerous boards, commissions and was the recipient of many awards and appreciation plaques such as NAACP Decatur Branch Community Involvement Award, and Human Relations Commission Youth and Education Award. Mr. Smith is married and has four children and ten grandchildren. He joined the RCS board in 2008.
